Jul 28, 2010 · On most if not all BMW's about half way through the models life cycle they update the exterior styling some, to make it look better or more modern. Pre-Facelift is the earlier model and obviously the facelift is the updated model. Here is an example. 1995-1998 Pre-Facelift e38 1999-2001 Facelift e38

Mar 29, 2008 · On a sedan, prefacelift style c/r LEDs would certainly make a car look younger than non-LEDs. But I gotta agree with the masses here, the r/c/r incandescent trumps the c/r LED for sedans in terms of overall looks AND actually makes the car look newer at the same time.

Jan 9, 2023 · If you're looking to keep your tannin red and just swap to heated seats in that color you're still going to be restricted to pre-face cars anyway, since that color wasn't offered on the facelift cars. You may be better off adding aftermarket seat heat baffles to your existing seats. Daily driver build thread. BWG-330.

Feb 9, 2021 · Definitely prefer pre-facelift and here why.. The pre (or original design), to me, looks more unique, technical & serious while giving off a more mechanical feel of form following function (which is exactly why I think they kept it on the M3 the whole time). Also think the original design fits in better with the overall design & feel of the car The kidney grill is a traditional round grill on the LCI, but pre-LCI has the top of the kidney grill on the hood (looks like a mustache). The headlights and mirrors are also different. LCI looks so much better when it comes to the E90 sedan, the E92 coupe LCI looks more modern bc of the lights, but I think the E92 is beautiful either way. 3.

Pre facelift coupes, facelift sedans. I think that the downward corner lights are more reminiscent of the M3; hence my affinity for the coupes. In this picture the facelift, but overall Ive had both a 04’ 325i face lift sedan and currently a 02’ 325ci pre facelift coupe and I gotta say the pre facelift reminds me more of an m3.
